Permits:
Approvals required by local building authorities, including building, land use, fire, energy code, etc.
Planning Permits:
Whether or not you need a Planning Permit depends on the location, the nature of your business, the number of visitors you can accommodate and other conditions.
Building Permits:
You must have a Building Permit if you extend or substantially alter an existing building.
How to Work it Out:
The provision of permits for building and planning and the cost of these permits depends on many factors such as location of the business, type of works to be undertaken and the local council providing the permits.
For the purpose of the DTL business plan financial analysis, allow $200 for each type of permit required.
